An Accidental Beginning

What began as a simple misunderstanding of rabbit biology quickly spiralled into a profound fascination with genetics.

Before I knew it, I wasn't just caring for a surprise litter. I was immersed in the complex, beautiful science of breeding, seeking to understand the heritage and health of every generation.

But life has its own rhythms. As my family grew, I realised I needed to step back. The breeding paused, but the passion never waned.

Those early, chaotic days laid the foundation for everything BunnyBuddyHQ™ would eventually become a deep, uncompromising commitment to the wellbeing of every rabbit.

When I Came Back, I Came Back Differently

Managing hundreds of moving parts across disconnected, clunky spreadsheets wasn't just tedious, it was a constant source of anxiety.

I was spending hours every week fighting formatting errors, chasing down lost data, and trying to force tools to do things they were never designed to do.

So I built it myself

Before we wrote a single line of public code, BunnyBuddyHQ™ was put through the paces where it matters most: in a real working rabbitry.

For 18 continuous months, every feature was rigorously battle-tested through daily operations at Saltbush Rabbitry in Hobart.

But we didn't stop there. To ensure our system wasn't just solving one person's problems, we invited local Tasmanian breeders to pilot the software.

Their feedback shaped our roadmap, validating that what worked for Saltbush Rabbitry also solved universal challenges across different breeding programs.

My diverse background isn't an accident. I have a genuine passion for creating order out of chaos, driven by my ADHD superpower: the ability to hyper-focus, deconstruct complex problems, and build beautifully simple, scalable systems.
